1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of StitchPro, a UK-based online marketplace that connects customers requiring clothing alterations, repairs, and bespoke tailoring services with independent skilled seamstresses, tailors, and makers. By accessing or using StitchPro, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. How StitchPro Works
StitchPro operates as an intermediary platform. We do not directly provide alteration or tailoring services. The Platform enables Customers to submit job requests, receive quotes from Specialists, compare options, and proceed to booking. Specialists are independent contractors and not employees of StitchPro.
3. Fees & Payment
A Portal Fee is added to the Customer's total at checkout. This fee covers the cost of operating the Platform and is non-refundable unless the booking is cancelled before work commences.VAT is applied to the Portal Fee where applicable. Payment is processed securely via Stripe.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Customers may cancel a booking before work has commenced. Refund eligibility depends on when the cancellation is made. If a Specialist has already received the item and begun work, a full refund may not be possible. Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days.
5. Limitation of Liability
StitchPro acts as a marketplace and is not liable for the acts, omissions, or quality of work performed by Specialists. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StitchPro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
6. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
